![]() WOMAD Annually in the Fall, Fort Canning Park, www.womadsingapore.com Why They Won: Each year, WOMAD Singapore holds its events with an eclectic mix of bands/acts across the world right down to the ghettos of Sri Lanka. This year's acts were nonetheless a masala mix of Asian beats from the energetic British group, Dhol Foundation to Israel's Idan Raichel Project. has got to be Apache Indian's surprise encore performance that brought the house down. Event Specialty: The drinks including their yearly specialty - ice cold martinis. Acceptance Speech: "We are delighted to be selected by the readers of Think for the Best Festival/Event Award. WOMAD Singapore is already in its 8th year and it is gratifying to see that we have been embraced by the community here.
