The Singapore Repertory Theatre and VizPro Entertainment proudly presents "A Twist of Fate".

An original murder-mystery musical comedy, in the tradition of Agatha Christie and the great "whodunits" of the 1930s, A Twist of Fate is a delicious comedy of twists and turns, false clues and dastardly deeds, set against the backdrop of a Peranakan family in Singapore.

Dark and stormy nights, midnight rendezvous, an inconvenient murder or two, and memorable tunes make this an entertaining, suspense-filled evening at the theatre.

In 1917 a baby is abandoned on the steps of the famous Raffles Hotel. A childless English couple finds the crying infant and sails away to England with the child. 20 years on she uncovers a secret that leads her to Singapore and into a web of conspiracy, deceit and love.

Meanwhile, the house of Lim Chin Boon is in turmoil; the dying Master Lim receives a letter from a young lady who could well be his long-lost granddaughter; or is she part of an elaborate plot to steal his wealth?

Lyrics by Laurence Olivier Award-winner Anthony Drewe, who recently wrote the lyrics for the Disney/Cameron Mackintosh's production of Mary Poppins, and music by Singapore's own Dick Lee. The book is by Tony Petito and Steven Dexter.

A Twist of Fate stars the hottest name in musical theatre at the moment, Laura Michelle Kelly, who won this year's Laurence Olivier Award-winner for Best Actress in London as Mary Poppins. Ms Kelly will leave the current production of Mary Poppins to come to Singapore to star in this production.

Her other credits include Fiddler On The Roof in New York, Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables, Whistle Down The Wind, Beauty and the Beast and the recent West End run of My Fair Lady.

Singapore's leading actor, MediaCorp Artiste Adrian Pang, along with well known celebrities Emma Yong and Sebastian Tan, come together with actors from around the world to complete a fabulous cast which will ensure a delightful and fun evening.
