BRIMMING WITH TALENT Tucked in a cosy corner at Heeren is the chic and classy ladies fashion label Kai. Started by the designer Kai, this label exudes a style that screams unique and exclusive. ![]()
C onsidering that most of the clothes aren't repeated, you might just be sorely disappointed should you decide to come back another time to get that top. Kai usually produces about eight pieces for each design. A former fashion design student at La Salle, Kai lives for versatility - it makes up her brand. "Fashion is individuality. You have to have your own design, it is not about copying others"says Kai. Definitely brimming with lots of talent, the soft spoken lady can come up with a new design everyday - and that's only for her hand made one-off pieces. Her designs are so good that she's even had to deal with other shops copying her designs. "Copying kills creativity, if you want to be a designer then you must be individual. Why open your own shop if all you do is just to copy others?"says Kai. Kai's label sees a good mix of different looks and styles ranging from smart to stylish and they even provide free alteration with purchases and made to order service. She targets mostly women of any age. Varying from super mini skirts to lovely delicate feminine tops that accentuate the curves, Kai's label is none too short of being uniquely exquisite.
