Why They Won: Maybe you might beg to differ that Pizza Hut bakes the most mouth-watering pizzas or is the most generous with the toppings but you cannot deny that they have once again proved themselves to be the market leader here by clinching this award! Operating in an impressive 84 countries, its first outlet started in 1981 at Jelita and has since established the all-time top seller, Hawaiian Lover's and house-special, the Super Supreme. They were also the innovative folks who introduced us to creations like the stuffed crust pizza and spiltzza and who can forget their buffets? Well, they might have to watch out for a relatively new yet serious competitor, Spizza who is actually only 1 vote behind. Though with only a few outlets, it seems to have garnered enough support for their 26 varieties of wood-fired pizzas named after women's names, 1 for each alphabet. How cool is that? Oh, and their veal lasagna is a must-try, along with tantalising desserts like gelatos, sherbets (even mint and grapefruit flavours!) and the lavish mascarpone mousse with Amaretti biscuits.

Bet You Didn't Know: In 2001, Pizza Hut literally took pizza to space by being the first company to deliver pizza to the pioneers living in outer space on the International Space Station.
