![]() Carl's Jr. in da' house! There is culinary hope for this burger-challenged Isle. If you've been living in Singapore for as long as I have, you'll realise one thing. The burgers SUCK. I'm not talking about Olio Dome or above-average dining (after all, if you're paying $15 for a lousy burger, why are you still paying for it? Or eating there?) Fast food burgers suck. First of all, they are tiny. The perfect example is MOS burger. Their burgers are smaller than my palm. And it's not like I have abnormally gigantic hands. But I have to admit that at least MOS burgers have some taste. Which is more than I can say for MacDonalds. So when I saw Carl's Jr. at Marina Square, I almost screamed like a little girl. If you don't know, Carl's Jr. is a famous burger joint in California. In fact, it was recently made even more famous for its new racy ad starring famous porn queen Ms. Paris Hilton in a revealing on-piece swimsuit spraying water on herself and going "That's hot." And these babies are what I call burgers. The only thing that's even close was a double Whopper. But there's just one double Whopper, and loads of burgers at Carl's Jr. Take your order at the counter, take a number, and your order comes to you in minutes. Drinks are self-service, so I guess that means free flow. Breakfast is available until 11 am, and they have a choice of onion rings, criss-cut fries and regular fries! The burger selection is even more overwhelming. They have half a dozen chicken burgers, if I did not miscalculate. And that's just chicken. I had Western Bacon Burger, and my friend the Super Star. Sumptuous. It was big, it was good, and it was fast. And for the weight conscious, they even have a low-carb option! So if you're in town, check out this great diner!
