![]() In Curry's Favor Always thought curry was the sacred territory of your local roti-prata seller? Curry Favor, nestled in the idyllic stretch of Stamford House, offers you exactly what its name suggests, save for the fact that it's, well... a Japanese restaurant. Sure, it's not sushi, but Japanese curry is not an obscure dish: it's part of a staple diet in Japan and relished by millions. Curry Favor's brand of curry, however, is no hasty off-the-shelf concoction. Their house specialities - seafood curry and mushroom curry - are created using 'secret' recipes, means that there are only limited quantities of these items everyday, and to what sumptuous effect: its seafood curry is a tangy blend of sweet & spice that is as subtle as it is tantalising. The Kushi Age Cuttlefish Roll with Cheese is another indulgence, with mouthwatering melted cheese hugged between crispy cuttlefish. After your meal, hop on over to the adjacent Moon River Cafe, and enjoy dessert in a conducive chill-out environment. While Curry Favor's interiors push the glam factor with striking red walls and zen-like furniture, Moon River's atmosphere is inviting, with its signature jazz playlist lulling in the background and a cosy American cafe ambience. Sit back with a Mango Mambo, a luscious dessert that has a somewhat indefinable texture, tasting like a cross between ice kachang and soup, and you'll be hard pressed to leave. Hang out at Curry Favor and the Moon River Cafe, located at 39 Stamford House, #01-08/09, from 12 pm to 10 pm daily. |
