![]() One thing about Ajisen Dining, people either love it or hate it. When I told a colleague I was going there to check it out, I was told, "Stay away from the volcano ramen, so disappointing and the staff is so rude at the Bugis location." I almost didn't go, but a friend said to me, "The atmosphere is wonderful and service is excellent. Noodles taste great too and the soup is fantastic. Prices are affordable too. Must try!" Well, too bad I wasn't there for the ramen! Instead, I parked myself next to the belt and feasted (and I mean feasted) on their $3 per plate opening promotion. The sushi was delightful, fresh and creatively presented. This 50% discount occurs from 6 to 10pm (Mon-Fri) and noon to 10pm on the weekend, and you'll find it hard to stop eating. Another visit, I went for the Seafood Kamameshi for just $18.80 (Kamameshi, one of the Japanese traditional cuisines, is a rice casserole dish with meats, fish, or/and vegetables in unique traditional iron kettle). Try that and for just ten cents more they give you Salmon Sashimi! 12 locations in Singapore, our faves: Plaza Singapura 68 Orchard Road #02-35 and Parco Bugis Junction, 80 Middle Road #01-88/93, Tel: +65 6338 9312, www.ajisen.com.sg |
