I nitially it seemed like VivoCity had managed to include a huge great waterfront without any gosh darn bars on it – only in Singapore. But as it all opened a few places appeared. Most of it was your usual generic restaurant of no distinction, but then German beer arrived. Brotzeit features rather cool Ren and Stimpy-esq décor, big tables and Paulaner on tap – this combines to make it a bit ace. Retreat from Vivo madness and recover with an obscenely large mug of ale. – Brotzeit: VivoCity, #01-149-151, Tel. 6272 8815; www.brotzeit1516.com Opening hours everyday from 12 noon to midnight; Friday, Saturday and Eve of Public Holiday until 1am. |
