The pioneer of sleek, trendy Chinese cuisine, the restaurant has never failed to amaze and excite, especially with its cuisine. The tasting menu is recommended for the best degustation experience. Start off with a well-executed pan-fried scallop with Portobello mushrooms and edamame sauce. Follow with ox tail soup accompanied delightfully with a serving of French pastry.
The blending of the different flavours is excellent and puts the dish at the top of our list. The impossibly tender rack of lamb with mint chutney and braised eggplant is similarly commendable. The refreshing spritz of flavour the mint imparts combines delightfully with the robust taste of the lamb. Strips of steamed spicy eggplant are also indispensable. Round off with a fruity, lovely mango trio indulgence or mini pumpkin with chilled puree served with a helping of pomelo and aloe vera jelly. Remarkable. - Club Chinois, Orchard Parade Hotel Level 2, 1 Tanglin Road, Tel: +6834 0660, clubchinois@tunglok.com, www.tunglok.com, Hours: 06:30 - 10:15 Breakfast, 12:00 - 15:00 Lunch, 18:30 - 23:00 Dinner, Dress Code: Smart, BYO: Yes, corkage is $30 Per Bottle |
