The set menu ($65/person) aims to please, with seared king scallops on a bed of kai lan with wolfberry jus, tomato consomme and duck liver mousse. Choose from two main courses – steamed black cod stuffed with scallop & tiger prawns with lobster emulsion or roast pigeon with oriental spices, baby vegetables & natural Jus. Leave some space for dessert though – dark chocolate parfait with fresh raspberries.

Give her some chocolate and she will surely go weak in the knees – it is after all rumoured to be an aphrodisiac. Make her go ‘wow’ with a “desir” chocolate sculpture with six heart-shaped chocolates filled with brandied cherry, chestnut whiskey and passion fruit ($35). Maybe you could be a bit more imaginative and get her some chocolate body paint ($20/200g). The patisserie would also be churning out “toi et moi” (you and me) chocolate fudge cakes with lemon cream, hazelnut nougatine and chocolate chantilly ($28).
